Dear ERKNet members and ePAGs,
we are pleased to invite you to our 7th ERKNet Annual Meeting. The conference will be held from 10 to 11 May 2023 in Heidelberg. Additional pre-conference meetings per special invitation will take place on May 9th.
Programme:
This year we will modify the programme to make it even more interesting and interactive.
On day 1, we will inform you about the latest progress in our various activities and present new collaborative projects. On day 2, we will have three one-hour breakout sessions for the nine working groups which we will be focused on joint activities. Please register for the working groups you would like to attend.
Following up on last year's successful scientific abstract pitches, we encourage fellows to present their ongoing research. There will be room for poster presentations and the best abstracts will be presented orally.
In addition, we will organise a "stump the consultant" session where fellows can present unusual cases of rare kidney diseases to selected groups of experts, who will not know the cases beforehand. We invite junior clinical fellows to submit case abstracts; the 3-4 most interesting cases will be invited for presentation in a podium discussion.
Who can attend:
We would be happy to welcome at least two participants from each healthcare provider. Therefore, please discuss with your centre colleagues who will be attending the meeting in person. If we receive more than two registrations per site, the additional participants will be added to a waiting list and contacted if more seats are available.
Financial Support:
As usual, we offer financial support to each participant in the form of a travel grant of 500 Euros (400 Euros for participants from Germany).
The presenters of scientific and clinical abstracts selected for oral presentation will be awarded 500/400 € travel grants outside the 2 grants paid per centre by default.
Streaming:
We will offer live streaming of the plenary sessions. Please register and we will send you the connection link 1-2 days prior to the meeting.
We are looking forward to an exciting conference, interesting breakouts and fruitful discussions!
Yours sincerely,
Franz Schaefer and the Coordination Team
