Julia Fijo López-Viota is a doctor of Medicine from the University of Seville. She specialized in Pediatrics and subsequently completed his training in Pediatric Nephrology at the Hospital Infantil Universitario Virgen del Rocío, in Seville, Spain. He has been working in the Pediatric Nephrology Unit since 1990.

She has been involved in several clinical trials and is an author and co-author of various publications in scientific impact factor journals and book chapters. She is also member of two European Reference Networks, ERKNet and Transplant Child.

Her main fields of interest are kidney transplantation including quality of care, quality of life and late outcome of end-stage kidney disease.
