The adult nephrology Department of Montpellier University Hospital belongs to the France southwest rare kidney disease reference center (SORARE), taking care of patients with rare kidney diseases, providing the whole spectrum of acute and chronic renal replacement therapies for adults. More than 170 kidney transplants are performed earch year. Care are provided by a multidisciplinary team with nephologists, urologists, intensivists, pathologists, as well as a psychologist, a dietitian, specialized nurses and a social worker. The Department is involved in several national and international clinical trials and registries, especially in the fields of C3 glomerulopathy, atypical HUS and kidney transplantation. |
