Rainer Büscher is the medical leader of the KfH-paediatric kidney disease center in Essen/Germany. He has more than 20 years of experience in diagnostic, therapeutic and general management issues of children and adolescents with chronic kidney diseases including all forms of kidney replacement therapy.
He received his MD from the University Hospital Essen in 1994 and an MME (Master of medical education) from the University of Heidelberg in 2010. He finished his training as paediatric nephrologist in 2006. Dr. Büscher received two scientific scholarships at the Department of Pharmacology and Medicine at the University of California San Diego (1996–1998 and 2004, Prof. Paul A.Insel).
