I received my M.D. in 2011 at Università degli Studi del Piemonte Orientale, Novara, Italy and did my residency in Nephrology at University of Milano from 2012 to 2017. I performed my research post-doctoral fellowship at Columbia University in New York City in 2014-2015. During that period, my research interest was mainly focused on the genetics of renal and urinary tract malformations (CAKUT).
I am currently working as a Pediatric Nephrologist at the Pediatric Nephrology, Dialysis and Transplant Unit of Fondazione IRCCS Ca’Granda, Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico in Milano, Italy. My activities are mostly centered on the clinical management and research of rare kidney disease, with particular interest to CAKUT and hemolytic uremic syndrome. At present, I mostly deal with neonates and children with kidney and urinary tract malformations and children and adolescents affected by hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS), with particular interest to atypical HUS caused by genetically mediated complement dysregulation.
