Dent's disease is a rare genetic disorder characterized by kidney dysfunction, mainly affecting the proximal tubules. Mutations in genes related to tubular transport in the kidneys lead to problems with calcium and phosphate reabsorption, resulting in conditions such as kidney stones and proteinuria.
