Dear ERKNet members and ePAGs,
We are pleased to invite you to the 8th ERKNet Annual Conference, which will take place from 23 to 24 April 2024 on the island of San Servolo, very close to Piazza San Marco in Venice. In addition, exclusive pre-conference meetings will take place on 22 April by special invitation.
Programme:
Our specially designed programme aims to enhance the overall conference experience and ensure increased engagement and interactivity. On Day 1, we will provide comprehensive updates on the progress of our various initiatives and offer scientific presentations and working group highlight pitches that will provide new insights into the field of rare kidney diseases. On Day 2, we have organised three ninety-minute breakout sessions for our nine working groups to facilitate focused discussion on collaborative activities.
Based on the success of last year's scientific abstract presentations, we strongly encourage fellows to present their ongoing research at this event.
Your participation is an essential factor in the success of this event and we look forward to a fruitful exchange of knowledge and ideas. Please do not hesitate to contact us for further information.
Who can attend:
We would be happy to welcome our ePAGs and at least two participants from each healthcare provider. Therefore, please discuss with your centre colleagues who will be attending the meeting in person. If we receive more than two registrations per site, the additional participants will be added to a waiting list and contacted if more seats are available.
Financial Support:
As usual, we provide financial support to cover travel costs for two representatives of healthcare providers and individuals presenting scientific abstracts in the form of travel grants. It is important to note that the funding provided by the European Commission for air and rail travel is subject to certain unit costs. To clarify eligible travel costs, including air and rail fares (which varies between different cities), please visit following page.
For your convenience, we have already booked and paid for rooms for most participants on the island. To allow more participants to stay on the island we appreciate if you are willing to share a double room with an colleague of yours. Please sign up for a room during the registration process.
Streaming:
We will offer live streaming of the plenary sessions. Please register and we will send you the connection link 1-2 days prior to the meeting.
