Description

The Department of Nephrology, Transplantation and Internal Medicine includes a Nephrology Unit, a Transplant Medicine Unit, a Hemodialysis Unit, a Peritoneal Dialysis Ward, a One Day Hospitalization Unit and an Outpatient Clinic. We specialize in all types of primary and secondary nephropathies, including diabetic nephropathy as well as ADPKD, Tuberous Sclerosis Complex and early and late complication of kidney transplantation. Our Department serves as a National referral centre for TSC. We offer kidney biopsy, hemodialysis catheter implantation, hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration and plasmapheresis. We are involved in patient education and diet recommendations for patients with renal diseases. We are a referral centre for North Poland for RRT including pre-emptive transplantation and pre-emptive re-transplantation. Our team includes specialists in nephrology , transplantation, hypertension, diabetes and internal medicine. The groups main research interest are primary and secondary nephropathies, ADPKD, TSC, kidney transplantion, cardionephrology, onconephrology.
