Marc Fila

Marc Fila (MD 2009, PhD 2013) is Consultant Pediatric Nephrologist at Montpellier University Hospital, France. He trained in pediatric nephrology at Robert Debré Hospital in Paris and holds a PhD in physiology and physiopathology ”Transport of sodium and potassium in cortical collecting duct in nephrotic syndrome” at Pierre and Marie Curie Paris University, France. He is currently Associate researcher - INSERM U1191 URMS 5203 CNRS - Institut de Génomique Fonctionnelle, Montpellier. His scientific fields of interest are in renal physiology: sodium and potassium transport in physiological and pathological conditions, molecular mechanisms involved in sodium retention in nephrotic syndrome and also HUS, nephrotic syndrome, pediatric dialysis and kidney transplantation as well as Fabry disease in children. He is the local principal investigator of the International Pediatric dialysis registry (IPPDN, IPHN), CERTAIN registry, dRTA registry, ARPedKD and ADPedKD registries and co-investigator of several multicenter studies in France and Europe in pediatric nephrology.
