Dr Mariadelina Simeoni is a passionate nephrologist and researcher dreaming of an effective progress of the translational nephrology.
She developed an in vivo application of confocal microscopy for studying the renal tubular handling of peptides and works on several patients with primitive and acquired tubulopathies in the University Hospital ‘Luigi Vanvitelli’. She also works on the study of mechanisms of CKD progression mainly due to gut derived uremic toxins and RAAS hyperactivation.
