Rik Westland MD PhD is a clinical fellow in pediatric nephrology and postdoctoral research scientist in the field of congenital anomalies of the kidney and urinary tract. He holds positions at AmsterdamUMC in The Netherlands and Columbia University Medical Center in New York, USA.

His scientific interest focuses on translational research projects on the etiology of congenital kidney malformations, and, driven by large-scale international multicenter collaborations, has resulted in several publications in high impact papers.
