Project Title: |
Neonatal stem cells to improve the quality of kidney graft |
Project Type: |
Translational research |
Disease group(s): |
Pediatric kidney transplantation |
Project Summary: |
This project investigates the potential of a new type of kidney stem cells (neonatal kidney stem progenitor cells, nKSPC), isolated in our laboratory, to regenerate kidneys that are discarded from transplantation. The cells are tested in kidney perfusion system allowing to preservation during 24 hours and to evaluated kidney function and parameters of damage and regeneration using advanced multi-omics technologies. |
