Registration and Abstract Call are now open for the next EUROD Winter Meeting, which will be held in Leuven, Belgium January 14-16 2025!
The European Renal Osteodystrophy (EUROD) Winter Meeting is the hot spot for European clinicians and researchers interested in CKD-MBD. This 3-day event includes hands-on sessions, a satellite symposium on mineral metabolism in rare renal diseases, a research forum, and a full-day CME. The CMEs are thematic, covering various aspects of the CKD-MBD syndrome. The 2026 central theme will be CKD-associated Osteoporosis and Cardiovascular disease in Kidney Transplantation.
Learning objectives (see detailed program attached):
- Get updated on the optimal diagnostic and therapeutic approach to CKD-MBD in kidney transplant candidates and recipients
- Translate knowledge to clinical practice: clinical case studies (workshop)
- Get informed on new trends in the care of (CKD-associated) osteoporosis and cardiovascular disease: utility of bone turnover markers, therapeutic targets in vascular calcification…
- Learn more about treatment options in rare mineral and bone diseases such as hypoparathyroidism and X-linked hypophosphatemia
…..parathyroidectomy in kidney transplant candidates: indications and timing?; Steroid minimization in kidney transplant recipients: who and when?; hypophosphatemia in kidney transplant recipients: to supplement or not?; Bone targeting therapy in incident kidney transplant recipients: one size fits all?; metabolic acidosis in kidney transplant recipients: no worries?.....
We again were able to bring together an international faculty of key opinion leaders featuring T Nickolas (US), MH Lafage-Proust (France), A Bellasi (Italy), S Sintha (UK), and N Mohebbi (Switzeland)
