May 2025: New Guideline Adoption and Implementation
Several new clinical practice guidelines have been published recently. In accordance with ERKNet’s governance structure, the Network Board is responsible for deciding on the formal adoption and implementation of new clinical practice guidelines within the network.
Before adoption of external guidance documents, the documents are thoroughly reviewed by members of the respective Expert Working Groups using the internationally recognized AGREE II methodology. This ensures that all endorsed guidelines meet the highest standards of quality, clarity, and relevance for the care of patients with rare kidney diseases.
At our most recent Annual Meeting in May 2025, the formally endorsed guidelines were officially adopted, and ERKNet centres confirmed their commitment to implement these recommendations in their clinical practice.
