Description |
The Center of Excellence for Rare Diseases at Tartu University Hospital focuses on the diagnosis, monitoring, and treatment of rare diseases. The aim of our center is to bring together the hospital's best multidisciplinary expertise in the field of rare diseases. We cooperate at the national and international level in the diagnosis and treatment of rare diseases. During consultations, we determine the most appropriate forms of treatment and rehabilitation and, where possible, methods for alleviating symptoms. In addition, the center aims to contribute to research aimed at deepening knowledge about diseases and improving the diagnosis, care, and treatment of patients with rare diseases. Our center employs a social worker and clinical coordinator as well as a nurse whose job is to help patients with rare diseases and their families find the best way to deal with their health problems. |
