Dr. Stathis Tsiakas is a Consultant Nephrologist at the Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplantation at Laiko Hospital of Athens. He received his M.D. at the Medical School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA)in 2009. Hecompleted his residency inNephrology at Laiko Hospital in 2018 and received the European Certificate in Nephrology in 2019.His areas of work and research interest include immunonephrology, glomerular diseases and kidney transplantation. He has authored or co-authored 13publications in international scientific journals and presentedoral communications in national and international congresses.He has served as an MC substitute member for Greece in the COST-Action “European Network for Collaboration on Kidney Exchange Programmes (ENCKEP)”. He is a graduate of the MSc program in Epidemiology and Research Methodology in Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Practice and Public Health of the NKUA and is currently a PhD candidate at the same university in the field of transplantation. He hasserved as a sub-investigator in severalmulticenter clinical trialsfocused on glomerular diseases.He is a member of the European Renal Association (ERA-EDTA) and the European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT).
