Dr. Margriet de Jong is internist-nephrologist at the Department of Interal Medicine, division of Nephrology at University Medical Center Groningen, Groningen, The Netherlands. She received her M.D. in 2008 at VU University Amsterdam. She received her PhD also in 2008 on the subject of ‘Adrenal insufficiency in the critically ill’.

Her research interests include Pregnancy in CKD & kidney transplantation, and kidney transplantation. She conducts research at national and international level on this topic. Furthermore, she has special interest in rare tubulopathies including cystinosis.

Furthermore, she serves in the national guideline committee and local professional boards.
