Gregor Novljan

Dr. Gregor Novljan is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics, Consultant and Head of the Dialysis and Transplant Unit at the Department of Nephrology, Pediatric Clinic, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. He received his M.D. in 1988 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. In 1995 he finished a residency program in Pediatrics. In 2003 he received his Doctor of Science degree for a study entitled Voiding urosonography: a new method for detecting vesicoureteric reflux in children.

Dr. Novljan received a degree in urinary tract ultrasound and worked as a specialist clinical fellow at Renal Unit in Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, London, United Kingdom. He is committed to educating young doctors and has mentored a Ph.D. student. Dr. Novljan is a member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, European Society for Pediatric Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Pediatrics, Slovenian Medical Chamber, Slovenian Working Group for Dialysis, European Renal Association/European Dialysis, and Transplant Association, and CERTAIN Registry.

His research interests include chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplantation. Dr. Novljan’s publication record encompasses 84 scientific articles and book chapters. With 767 citations to date, his current H-index is 13.
