Yahsou Delmas

She completed her medical studies at Université Paris VI (APHP Pitié-Salpétrière) between 1989 and 1995, followed by a specialization in Nephrology at Université Victor Ségalen Bordeaux 2 (1995–2001). In parallel, she pursued a DEA in Biology and Health at Université Bordeaux 2, conducting research within INSERM U441 under the supervision of Professor Christian Combe, supported by a grant from the Fondation pour la Recherche Médicale. From 2001 to 2005, she advanced her doctoral research in Biology and Health at Bordeaux 2, funded by the Association pour la Recherche sur le Cancer, while serving as Assistant Chef de Clinique in the Nephrology Department of CHU Bordeaux. Between 2005 and 2007, she further trained in the hemodialysis unit of Professor Combe at CHU Pellegrin.

Since November 2007, she has been a full-time Hospital Practitioner in Nephrology, Transplantation, Dialysis, and Apheresis at CHU Pellegrin, Bordeaux, where she is responsible for the affiliated medical dialysis unit. She has also been an investigator and co-investigator in numerous clinical trials and research projects with both academic and industry sponsors, holding ICH GCP certification since 2023. Since 2013, she has coordinated the Aquitaine reference center for thrombotic microangiopathies (MAT), succeeding Professor Didier Gruson, and has contributed to national expert groups on complement-related kidney diseases.
