Marius Miglinas

Prof. Marius Miglinas is a leading nephrologist and professor at Vilnius University, Lithuania. He heads the Nephrology Center at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Klinikos and coordinates the national Reference Center for Rare Adult Kidney Diseases and Thrombotic Microangiopathies. He currently serves as President of both the Lithuanian Kidney Foundation and the Lithuanian Hypertension Society.

Internationally trained in the UK, Japan, Austria, the USA, and Australia, Prof. Miglinas specializes in kidney and pancreas transplantation, interventional nephrology, glomerular diseases, and rare kidney conditions. He holds a PhD from Vilnius University and has completed fellowships at institutions such as Glasgow University, Nagoya University, Vienna University Hospital, and Westmead Hospital.

A prolific researcher, he has authored over 200 peer-reviewed publications and has an h-index of 10 (Google Scholar). His recent research includes clinical trials on glomerulopathies and lupus nephritis, as well as projects on sodium intake and transplant tolerance.

Prof. Miglinas is Executive Editor of Transplant International and an active member of global nephrology and hypertension societies. His leadership and scholarship have significantly advanced kidney care in Lithuania and internationally.
