Helena Marco

Dr. Helena Marco Rusiñol is a nephrologist at the Fundació Puigvert in Barcelona, Spain, specializing in immune-mediated glomerular diseases. In 2010, she completed a research fellowship at the Vasculitis and Lupus Unit of Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, United Kingdom, where she participated in both clinical and laboratory research on primary systemic vasculitis. Her work during this period was supported by a research grant from the European Renal Association – European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA).
She obtained her PhD with Cum Laude distinction from the Autonomous University of Barcelona in 2017, focusing on the use of rituximab in the treatment of autoimmune glomerular diseases.
Dr. Marco is actively involved in both clinical care and research in the field of immune glomerulopathies. She has authored numerous national and international publications on glomerular and autoimmune diseases and currently participates in various clinical trials related to glomerular disorders. She is an active member of several scientific societies, including GLSEN and ERA-EDTA.
