Dr. Katrien De Vusser is professor of Medicine at KU Leuven University Hospital. Her clinical training as a nephrologist included stays in Belgium and the Netherlands. Her clinical work focuses on systemic diseases with renal involvement. Recently a multi-disciplinary clinic for patients with systemic diseases was started at UZ Leuven.

Dr De Vusser serves as board member of ERN RECONNET (Lupus) .

Her research interests include mostly systemic diseases with a special interest in Lupus Nephritis. She has (co-) authored 50 scientific articles, with more than 850 citations to date, resulting in a current H-index of 10.
