Dra. Aguilar is master in pediatric nephrology in Hospital Sant Joan de Déu, Barcelona, Spain since November 2021 to date.

She graduated in General Medicine in May 2014 at the Francisco Marroquin University in Guatemala City, carrying out his specialization in pediatrics at the Guatemalan Social Security Institute from 2015 to 2018 (San Carlos University of Guatemala) serving as chief resident during the last year. Later she worked as a pediatrician in different hospitals in Guatemala.

During her time at the Sant Joan de Déu hospital, she became more interested in the area of ​​tubulopathies and nephrology oncology, with experience in international registries (like XLH registry) and clinical trials in this field. She has several publications, oral presentations, posters and awards, both national and international, in the area of ​​pediatric nephrology.
