Ellen van Ommen studied, after completing her study Biomedical Health Science, Medicine at the Radboud University of Nijmegen. She received her MD in 2007 after which she started her training in Internal Medicine and Nephrology in Nijmegen. Since 2014 she is working as a nephrologist with a special interest in lupus nephritis and ANCA vasculitis. She takes part in the Dutch Expertise Platform Rare Rheumatic Diseases (ARCH) and is member of the Dutch Working Group SLE. Ellen participates in the Regional expertise center for rare kidney disease at Radboudumc in Nijmegen. She is committed to teaching and is teacher of the nephrologist in training. Her goal is to provide the best care for every individual patient.
