Bogna Niwinska-Faryna

My name is Bogna Niwinska-Faryna and I am a pediatric nephrologist. I am educated in Poland where I studied medicine at Silesian Medical University in Katowice and afterward, I worked as a specialist in Pediatric Nephrology and Dialysis Department in Zabrze. I got my PhD degree there and the title of my disputation was Interleukin 1, 6 and 8 releasing in children with pyelonephritis.

Currently I am working in Sweden in the Pediatric Nephrology Clinic in Stockholm at Karolinska University Hospital.

I take care of patients in the inpatient department, outpatient clinic and take part in both pediatric nephrology and general pediatric duties. Also, I work as a pediatric nephrology consultant for Transplantation Clinic, Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Neonatal Clinic and other specialties.

I supervise medical students and pediatric trainers in their pediatric nephrology education.

My current clinical and researching interests include chronic kidney disease, peritoneal dialysis, electrolyte disturbances, arterial hypertension and tubulopathies.

I am a member of the Swedish Pediatric Nephrology Society and of the Swedish Pediatric Nephrology Register.

I am a co-author of eight articles.
