Anamarija Meglič

Dr. Anamarija Meglič is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and a Consultant at the Department of Nephrology, Pediatric Clinic, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. She is also a Head of the Pediatric Palliative care Team at Children’s Hospital, University Medical Centre Ljubljana. She received her M.D. in 1992 at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ljubljana. In 2000 she finished a residency program in Pediatrics. In 2001 she received her Doctor of Science degree for a study entitled Erythrocyte deformability and microhematuria in children and adolescents. Dr. Meglič received a degree in urinary tract ultrasound. She also received a certificate in urodynamics at Bristol Urological Institute/Warrell Unit Manchester and a certificate in palliative care. She completed two workshops in palliative and end-of-life care in pediatrics. She is a member of the International Pediatric Nephrology Association, European Society for Pediatric Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Nephrology, Slovenian Society of Pediatrics, Slovenian Medical Chamber, European Association of Palliative care, and Slovenian Society of Hospice and Palliative care. Her research interests include pediatric palliative care, voiding disorders in children, renal and urinary tract malformations, arterial hypertension, and glomerulopathies. Dr. Meglič’s publication record encompasses 57 scientific articles and book chapters. With 147 citations to date, her current H-index is 6.
