Felix Köhler

Dr. Felix Köhler is a clinician in training at the University Hospital of Cologne. He received his M.D. at the Medical School of the University of Cologne in 2018. Dr. Köhler works as postdoctoral researcher at the Cologne Cluster of Excellence CECAD at the University of Cologne. His research interest focuses on the deciphering of molecular mechanisms leading to kidney protection and the identification of novel therapeutic approaches for the prevention and therapy of acute kidney injury in adults.

Dr. Köhler has a strong research focus in translational nephrology aiming for a bench-to-bedside approach and he participates in epidemiological studies and clinical trials. Moreover, he has a special interest in the treatment of hereditary rare diseases, especially in autosomal dominant polycystic kidney disease (ADPKD).
