Dr. Gabriele Malgieri is a senior consultant and Director of the Unit of Nephrology, Dialysis and Kidney Transplantation at the Azienda Ospedaliera di Rilievo Nazionale Santobono-Pausilipon in Naples.
He holds medical specializations in Nephrology (1990, University of Naples Federico II) and Pediatrics (2001, Second University of Naples). He also completed a Master in Healthcare Management (Level II) at UniPegaso (2020–2021).
Dr. Malgieri serves as Contract Professor of Pediatric Nephrology at the University of Naples Federico II. He is the clinical lead for pediatric kidney transplantation (pre- and postoperative management and long-term follow-up) and represents his institution on the regional PDTA working group for rare renal diseases.
His department is part of the European Reference Network for Rare Kidney Diseases (ERKNet), and he is an ESPN-certified Senior Pediatric Nephrology Consultant. He contributes to several international registries and collaborations, including RaDaR, ERKReg, ADPedKD, CERTAIN, and national study groups on Tuberous Sclerosis and CAKUT within the Italian Society of Pediatric Nephrology.
