Dr. Ilse Rood is an internist-nephrologist at the department of Pediatric Nephrology in the Radboud University Medical Center (Radboudumc) in Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She received her M.D. in 2011 at the Radboudumc. During her internal medicine-nephrology residency at the Radboudumc, she was especially interested in genetic causes of kidney diseases and performed a special internship at the department of Genetics (Radboudumc). She received her PhD in 2022 on a thesis focused on steroid resistant nephrotic syndrome and focal segmental glomerulosclerosis, and she participated in the ERKNet Helpdesk Team (2018-2021). She was registered as internist-nephrologist in 2022 and remained working at the department of Nephrology at Radboudumc before joining the department of Pediatric Nephrology in 2023.
