Dr. Luca Antonucci is a paediatric nephrologist at Bambino Gesù Children’s Hospital in Rome, Italy. He graduated with honour in Medicine in 2015 (University of Cagliari) and completed his paediatric residency at University of Rome Tor Vergata - Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital in 2021. Since 2021, he has been working as Pediatric Nephrologist in Nephrology Division of Bambino Gesù Children's Hospital. He earn his PhD in Microbiology, Immunology, Infectious Diseases, and Transplants in 2025 (University of Rome Tor Vergata).
Dr. Antonucci has been actively involved in national and international training programs and conferences, including ESPN, IPNA, and KDIGO. His research focuses on glomerular diseases, complement-mediated nephropathies, paediatric kidney transplantation, and rare kidney disorders. He has contributed to multiple clinical trials and non-profit projects and has authored over 15 peer-reviewed publications.
Dr. Antonucci has presented more than 20 abstracts at international nephrology congresses and delivered talks at major meetings like ESPN and GPN. He is also dedicated to academic teaching and postgraduate training, serving as a reviewer for journals such as JASN and Paediatric Nephrology.
His professional affiliations include the Italian Society of Paediatric Nephrology (SINePe) and the European Society for Paediatric Nephrology (ESPN). He is fluent in English and holds the Cambridge First Certificate in English.
