Marta Jiménez is currently a consultant of the Paediatric Nephrology Unit at Virgen del Rocío Children's Hospital in Seville, Spain. Her main fields of interest are hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, chronic kidney disease and hypertension.

After specializing in paediatrics she worked in the Pediatric Nephrology Unit of the Gregorio Marañón Hospital in Madrid and the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital in Barcelona. She has a Master’s degree in Paediatric Nephrology from the Oviedo University (2020 – 2022), Paediatric Nephrology from the Barcelona University (2021 – 2023) and Hemodialysis from the Complutense University (2023 – 2024)

She is involved in several clinical trials in different areas and has published several scientific articles and book chapters related to the speciality. Furthermore, she is a member of Spanish and international medical associations (ESPN, IPNA) and two European Reference Networks (ERKNet and  Transplant Child).
