Vincenco Di Leo

Vincenco Di Leo completed his secondary education at Liceo Scientifico Statale “M. Curie” in Monopoli (2002–2007) before studying Medicine at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro” (2007–2014), where he graduated cum laude with a thesis on “Microbiota and metabolome associated with immunoglobulin A nephropathy (IgAN).”

In 2015, he obtained his medical license from the Ordine dei Medici Chirurghi ed Odontoiatri della Provincia di Bari (license no. 15133).

From 2015 to 2019, he completed his residency in Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro”, graduating cum laude with a thesis titled “Rifaximin and IgA Nephropathy: role to prevent and decrease kidney damage.”

During his training, he also undertook an internship at the same department (2013–2015) and a research fellowship at the Centre de recherche sur l’inflammation UMR 1149 Inserm – Université Paris Diderot (2019).

Since 2020, he has been working as a physician in the Department of Nephrology, Dialysis, and Transplantation at the Azienda Ospedaliero-Universitaria Consorziale Policlinico of Bari. In 2023, he began his PhD in Metabolism, Aging and Social Medicine at the University of Bari “Aldo Moro.”
